This Tortoise Is OLD...But You Won't Believe How Old 'Til You See These Photos

Meet Jonathan, one of the oldest living animals in history!

This guy is Jonathan, he's a giant tortoise.

He is about 182 years old, which makes him the oldest living tortoise, (and probably animal) in the world.

Jonathan was taken to an island in 1882 and was photographed in 1902 at a full adult size for a tortoise.

It takes about 50 years for a tortoise to get to that full size.

This means that Jonathan could have been born in 1832.

While Jonathan is super old, he isn't the oldest known animal ever...

There is an unconfirmed tortoise from India that may have been as old as 250 years!

This is Jonathan photographed in 1902 and then today.

Clearly Jonathan is an amazing tortoise and is still going strong even in his old age and he is obviously loved by all!
