Kid You Not, Noah's Ark Was Just Damaged In Colossal Collision

by N/A, 9 years ago | 1 min read

What an ironic twist of fate, right?

crash Non-Premium Noah's Arc

This magnificent Noah's Arc replica was built by Dutch contractor/creationist, Johan Huibers, after having a dream about a devastating flood in his hometown.

Sadly, this 230-foot-long model of the Biblical ship, which is used as a floating museum, crashed with a coastguard vessel while in Oslo Harbor, Norway. The report says it was being towed to port but somehow lost control. Both of the ships suffered damages.

Here's the badass replica.

The Ark of Noah Foundation now owns the replica and they are planning on sailing the magnificent vessel to Rio de Janeiro to be displayed at the Summer Olympic Games.

Here's how the accident happened —

The replica was gently being towed into port.

The people controlling the tow somehow lost control of the vessel.

The vessel slowly crashed into Nornen, a moored coastguard vessel.

Then, the Arc slowly scraped backwards.

Sadly, this caused even more damage to both vessels.

Here's the aftermath.

That is one big OUCH!

The damage done to the arc is quite massive.

The repair cost will be massive as well, we presume.

Here's a close-up of the damage.

It has been confirmed that no animals— or humans — were harmed by the accident.

That hole will temporarily spoil the vessel's magnificence.

No news as of the now regarding the plans for its repair, but we're hoping it would be patched up soon.
