Now We Finally Know Why Justin Bieber Shaved His Head

Let us all take a moment to remember the beautiful bleach blonde locks Justin Bieber had for several months. Go ahead. His mane deserved to be fawned over. Fans went into a frenzy when he turned his tresses into bleach blonde dreadlocks, and even more so when he decided to completely shave his head. 

While the obvious signs may point to the fact that the Biebs is pulling a Britney—he won't take pics with fans anymore, is slamming Hollywood culture, etc.—you can take a big sigh of relief. It turns out, shaving his head was all for a good cause.

This is what Justin's longtime hairstylist Florido had to say about Justin shaving his head: "He's into it too—he looks like a young Brad Pitt. We still have the dreads though, now we might try to [sell them] for a charity." Awwww. 

As for how Justin got the idea to try out dreads in the first place: "He was snowboarding and saw someone with dreads and wanted them," Florido explained. 

"The haircut was his idea," Florido said, adding, "He wore them for maybe a month and then wanted to change up his look. Not to mention, his hair was bleached and was already fragile—plus it was knotted and teased from the dreads. We decided to just start fresh and shave it all off."

Here's how it went down: "So after that show, I cut out all of the dreads using scissors, and then I used a buzzer to shave it all down,' Florido said

While we're still mourning Justin's long hair, it's cool that he's planning to donate his beautiful tresses for a good cause. We might even be warming up to his shaved head now, too—but baby steps. 

"Right now he's into the short 'do, but it could be anything. It's always so random and never planned," Florido said.

Knowing the Biebs, just when we fully accept his buzz cut, he'll do something else to shock us. At least he's always keeping things interesting for us.
