2009's Biggest Blockbuster Is Getting The Sequels No One's Asked For
Things as old as 'Avatar': Lady Gaga's breakout, Kanye dissing Taylor, 'Jersey Shore,' and Michael Jackson's death.
Picture this: It's 2009 and you're going on a first date with someone you've got a good feeling about. After dinner, you decide to go to the movies to see the year's hit film "Avatar." You both enjoy the date and especially the movie, and agree to see each other again. You even kiss a little at the end of the date. You're ecstatic.
Now it's 2016, and your "Avatar" date is now married and expecting his first child. Yeah, you read that right. It's been that long since James Cameron's "Avatar" came out. But lucky you! Cameron's just announced that there will be four, yes four, "Avatar" sequels coming to theaters soon.
C'mon, J.C., we don't even care at this point. The thrill of the original movie died quicker than a millennial's hopes and dreams...and these Twitter users seem to agree.
A long, long time from now...
...in a movie theater far, far away.
It seems filming's already begun.
As if we needed any more weird creatures...
