Even a Sith Will Love This Concept Art For The New Star Wars Theme Parks

by N/A, 9 years ago | 2 min read

We were all ecstatic when Disney announced that they would begin construction of not one, but two Star Wars-themed amusement parks. After all, being able to pilot the Millennium Falcon while sipping on a refreshing cup of blue milk is every would-be Jedi's dream. Disney recently released concept art for what a galaxy far far away might actually look like for park-goers, and the results look like a paradise for any force-sensitive thrill seeker. Get excited.

Both parks will showcase locales from brand new planets in the Star Wars universe.

Reaching exotic destinations clearly isn't a problem if your ship made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.

The parks will feature characters and attractions inspired by all previous Star Wars films.

You can expect something for fans of all ages, from the most inexperienced youngling to the scruffiest looking nerf herder.

Disney has said that this will be their largest single-themed park to date.

Naturally, one of the main attractions is a ride that puts you in the pilot seat of the Millenium Falcon. Whether or not you can get through the entire experience without the hyperdrive malfunctioning has not yet been confirmed.

No Star Wars world would be complete without its own wretched hive of scum and villainy.

The cantina will serve everyone....except droids. They'll have to wait outside.

No word yet on whether or not Bantha rides will be available...

If it's not possible traverse the park on the back of a Tauntaun though I'm going to throw a fit.

Remember these dancing storm troopers from Disney's Star Wars Weekends?

Here's to hoping that they make a repeat appearance.

Naturally, the park will have a huge marketplace full of shops and food vendors.

After all, it wouldn't be a Disney Park is complete without a place for kids to spend all of their parents' hard-earned credits.

All in all, the concept art looks pretty freakin' sweet.

The parks aren't expected to be completed for a few years, but you can keep yourself busy by checking out the full concept unveiling by Disney CEO Bob Iger.

The only truly appropriate response to all of this glorious news is this:
