Well this friendly Florida cop knows puppy love at first sight very well.

He was responding to a routine call at the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society when he fell in love with this little guy who was found abandoned behind the shelter's building overnight.

"[I was] thinking about him out there all alone, probably so confused, broke my heart," explained Officer Montgomery.

So obviously, he brought a new little furry friend home with him.

Little Kylo is getting along adorably with Montgomery's other rescued pup, Vader.

And they're obviously going to grow up to be the best of friends.

Montgomery said he wasn't interested in the internet fame, but did note how happy he was that PAWS was getting more attention after his adoption of Kylo.
