Who knew Toucans were some of the cuddliest animals on the planet?
Ripley the Toucan is too cute to handle.
Ripley is one friendly bird.
She's a one-year-old Toco Toucan (Ramphastos Toco).
Yes, in some parts of the US it is legal to own a Toucan. It requires permits/licenses, but it can be done. There's a lot of responsibility associated with Toucan ownership of course, and you should read this before you think of getting one.
Most importantly, though, is Ripley's extremely cuddly nature.
She just loves getting head pets and rubbing her beak on her owner.
If Ripley doesn't totally melt your heart with her desire to be cuddled, you're probably made of solid ice.
There are a number of Toucan species you can own, but the smaller ones are a little easier to find. They require a large cage and very vigilante owners–they'll eat just about anything.
