There's Nothing Sadder Than Watching This Baby Koala Be Kicked Out Of His Tree

Without a doubt, koalas are pretty cute. But they can also be huge bullies and total crybabies.

In a struggle for territory, a koala joey attempted to do battle with another, slightly larger koala.

It pretty much ends how you expect.

Now for the breakdown: this is our poor little hero. He just can't seem to catch a break.

And he's a huge crybaby.

First, we see these two koalas fighting for territory. They both want that tree really badly. Even though there are plenty of good trees around, they both just really need that one.

One koala is clearly much bigger than the other. Predictably, the larger one wins the battle.

The larger koala then coos in victory from the top of the tree...

...while the joey cries like a little baby from the ground. Which makes sense, because he/she is, in fact, a little baby.

TIL all marsupial babies are referred to as joeys.

Later, the joey once again musters up some courage, and once again tries to take the tree.

And it goes pretty much the same way as the first time.

But this time, our hero joey isn't as much of a hero. He/she is mad about losing, has a nice long cry, and seems to want to claw the cameraperson's face off.

So, yeah, koalas seem pretty cute, but sometimes they can be total jerks. Just check out this person's craigslist ad if you don't believe me.
