Bill Murray is the epitome of everything everyone everywhere wishes they could be. Wow, that's a bold statement to start an article off with, but it seems like without any real research that the statement was 100% factual. Anyway, as I digress, I'd like to shift the conversation toward Bill Murray's official takeover of the holiday season with the aid of Netflix–the everything to everyone everywhere. Sorry, enough with the bombastic speech, here's the exciting Christmas announcement.

You've surely already been made aware of the Netflix Christmas special coming out on December 4 titled "A Very Murray Christmas" right?

'Netflix and Bill' indeed! There's not going to not be an eyeball on this. If you followed that double-negative, you understand that means you too.

Here's the official trailer for the holiday event that will surely become a family tradition among countless households.

This star-studded cast features the likes of: George Clooney, Rashida Jones Rashida Jones, Amy Poehler Amy Poehler, Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus, Bill Murray Bill Murray, Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock and Jenny Lewis from director Sophia Coppola. Phew! That sounds amazing, but it gets even better.

Yes, to get to what the headline promised–there's something even more jolly being released in conjunction with A Very Murray Christmas.

Phoenix, along side Bill Murray and help from Paul Shaffer, Jason Schwartzman and Buster Poindexter are releasing a 7-inch holiday single titled "Alone On Christmas Day."

The A-side is the musical number featuring all the above mentioned collaborators, with the B-side being an instrumental version of the track. The release is the same as the Netflix special, December 4, so you've got plenty to do that day–in the name of a Murray Christmas.
