Are you single? Do you live alone? (No, your cat doesn't count as a roommate for this one.) If you answered yes to those questions, science has found that you're more prone to eating junk food. Which you know, is horrible for your health.

Living alone is great. You don't have to deal with pesky roommates and you can do whatever the hell you want and not have to wear pants.

But...... you're also probably eating a lot of crap. At least, according to science.

If you're anything like me, it's frozen dinners, bread, dessert and a whole lot of wine.

Researchers found that people who live on their own, rather than with a significant other or roommates, consume less core foods groups like fruits, vegetables and lean proteins.

Researchers at the Queensland University of Technology analyzed 41 studies to examine the correlation between living alone and food/nutrient intake. 

Men living alone were more likely to have a poor diet than women living alone.

Lack of cooking skills and no partner to go shopping with were some of the key contributors to a bad diet.

The study also reports that the number of people living alone continues to increase.

Loneliness is a "significant predictor of malnutrition in the elderly" according to Dr. Katherine Hanna. In addition, isolation weakens your immune system, so you're more susceptible to getting sick.
But like, ya know, whatever.
