Kelly Black, 42 of Jacksonville, Florida, was walking her dog when she was struck and killed by a truck but her dog, Paco, stayed with her until the end.
After losing his owner, Paco laid down at the scene of the accident and refused to leave as police taped off the area.
Paco is the only known witness to the accident.
He held his head low as police took his owner away.
Later, Paco was reunited with the rest of Kelly's family but is still feeling the effects of the accident.Â
Unfortunately, he hasn't recovered from the trauma of losing Kelly.
Local news reporter, Russell Colburn, has been following the case closely. Kelly's family is still hoping any witnesses and the driver will come forward to provide the closure they need.Â
Paco's devotion to Kelly is a touching testament to the love for his owner and the relationship between dogs and their owners.
