She may be 79, but Sadie Sellers isn't about to let old age and regulations tie her down...not in the slightest.

When Sadie Sellers' son Tony came to visit her at her care home, the Daleview House in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, he was shocked to hear that she was nowhere to be found.

Sellers immediately asked the staff if they were aware, to which they informed him that his daughter Samantha had come and picked her up.

"I thought it was a bit weird but I tried not to worry. There was no sign of her but the staff said Samantha had been up and they'd gone into town," Sellers toldÂ The Mirror.

After getting a hold of her, Sellers' daughter told him to meet them here, at "Studio 76 Tattoo Parlor."

Inside, he found his mother and daughter sitting in chairs together, getting matching tattoos - his mom's first.

â€œI just couldnâ€™t believe it. I went in all I saw was three big lads in their 20s, covered in tattoos, and there in the middle was mum getting one herself," Sellers said.

Sadie, who apparently had more than won over the tattoo artists there, had a simple explanation for the spontaneous "escape."

â€œWhen you get to my age, you just have to live life to the full every day...Samantha is my right arm and my left arm. She spends nearly all her spare time down here with me so it was lovely to get this done with her...When I came back to the home and everyone heard about it they all rushed round to see it. Tony didn't know what to think."

But she's not worried about any potential repercussions of her decision.

When asked by a local reporter what the rest of her family might have to say about her tattoo, she replied, "I don't f*ckin care."
