We May Learn A Lot About The Origin of Birds From These Incredible Fossils Found In China

Every time new fossils are discovered, archeologists are given extremely valuable information about the past genus of animal species, information that can add to our own understanding of current and future genus as well. 

And a recent fossil found in China uncovered a breaking discovery in the history of the modern bird.

The fossil of the archaeornithura meemannae was discovered, and it is the oldest relative of the birds we know today.

Min Wang and Zhonghe Zhou found the fossils, which are 125-million-year-old. They found two partial skeletons and if you look closely at the images above, you'll see that some feathers were still in tact!
