6 Things About the Full House Spin Off That Will Get You Seriously Excited About It

All of your childhood dreams are coming true! Uncle Jesse and the Full House gang are back with a spin off series. An hour-long Tanner family reunion will be released first, followed by a 13 episode run will be released on Netflix in 2016 called "Fuller House."

1. John Stamos made the exclusive announcement on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.
2. The new series starts on a rather sad note.

D.J. returns as a mother of three boys who is trying to start over after having recently been widowed. 

3. Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) have all confirmed that they will reprise their roles for "Fuller House."
4. Netflix is negotiating with other stars of the show to get them to return for the spin off.

Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), and Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis) are all in talks with Netflix to appear in guest starring roles. 

5. The show almost ran for more than 8 seasons.

After ABC ended the show in 1995, the WB wanted to pick it up, but John Stamos and Candace Cameron wanted to move on. 

6. There was almost a Full House movie.

In 2009, John Stamos wanted to produce a Full House movie. Oddly enough, he didn't want to play the part of Uncle Jesse and was hoping to have James Franco play that role. He also cast Steve Carell and Tracy Morgan as Danny and Uncle Joey.
