Sony Is Bored Of Humans So Now They're Using An Octopus To Debut Their New Camera

by N/A, 10 years ago | 2 min read

In promotion of their new water-resistant camera, Sony recently partnered up with Sea Life Aquarium in New Zealand to have Rambo, their octopus, learn how to operate the camera and take pictures of visitors.

Octopuses are becoming increasingly deemed as one of the most intelligent animals on the planet - up there with chimpanzees and dolphins - due to their remarkable ability to comprehend and remember functions and concepts. You've heard of them opening jars, predicting outcomes to soccer games, and now they're about to impress you even more.

Rambo, the "octographer," is ready for her debut.
And the Sony DSC-TX30 is ready to be put to the test.
Aquarium employees collaborated with Sony reps to created a contraption that would allow Rambo to press the shutter button.
The red extension is the piece she'll use to work her magic.
And as you can see...
She's not having any problems getting the job done.
Sony's camera seemed to perform pretty well too.
