Pranks. They give us better ab workouts then most of us would be able to push ourselves to having in the gym, and they're pretty much universally hysterical. They cross language boundaries, splitting our sides with overwhelming, and slightly immoral amusement at someone else's misfortune.

Programa Silvio Santos, a Brazilian TV show, provides us with a perfect example, and they just took things to a whole new level of pranking.

Several unsuspecting Brazilian women, riding the subway like any other day, are given the most heart attack-inducing scare they'll easily ever have in their lives. When the train malfunctions and comes to a stop, locking them inside, the station lights, already flickering, go out. What happens next is horrifyingly cruel...and completely priceless.
