"Iron Man" Delivered a Bionic Arm to a Young Boy That Needed One, and It Was Heartwarming

by N/A, 10 years ago | 1 min read

When he was young, Albert Manero's parents always encouraged him to be others-minded, telling him that when he eventually grew up, his biggest goal should be to make the world a better place. Suffice it to say, he certainly heeded his parents' wise and altruistic words.

Manero, who is now the founder of Limbitless Solutions, a non-profit volunteer group that designs and builds functional bionic arms for children with birth defects, is doing more than his parents ever hoped for. Limbitless' 3D-printer designs are also open source, meaning that anyone with a 3D-printer can download and use their designs for free. Manero's work has gained him acclaim quickly - rightfully so - and most recently, he helped satisfy the wish of 6-year-old Alex by not only providing him with a new bionic arm, but having his idol "Ironman" hand deliver it.
