“Weird Beauty” is a collaborative project in which make-up artist Valeriya Kutsan and photographer Alexander Khokhlov come together to create something extraordinarily eye pleasing.
In an interview, Khokhlov explains, “...we decided to deny any color in our series except black and white to make more accent on forms and volume..."
He continued, "The experiment should prove that usual simple forms, familiar things or characters can be a main part of wonderful beauty looks. "
And when asked about the model's involvement he concluded, "Model faces in this project are not just canvases for the face-arts – they play their own role in each photo with different parts.â€
One thing's for sure, their remarkable collaboration has brought forth such breathtaking art that one can't help but want to pass it along!
